Volunteer With Us
Oceanside Hospice is powered by over 60 dedicated volunteers who are the heart and soul of our organization. Their commitment ensures that patients and families receive compassionate, quality end-of-life care.
New volunteers are always welcome, and there are many areas within our organization where you can make a meaningful difference. Volunteer assignments are matched to community needs. Volunteers must complete a 40-hour training program, which runs over seven weeks at a cost of $65.
To register, volunteers must meet a few pre-registration requirements, including attending an information session, completing an application, a background check, and a pre-screening interview.
If you’re interested, please complete the online application form, email info@oceansidehospice.com or call us at 250.752.6227.

Featured Volunteer
Jan has been volunteering with Hospice for almost 2 years. She delivers Comfort Kits to the recently bereaved, helps out at the Reception desk, One to One Grief Support and jumps in to help at events as well.
She says, “I love volunteering for Hospice delivering Comfort Kits. I feel it is so important to listen to the person left, and how they are coping with the loss. They do need a lot of support. I find it most rewarding to be of service to them.
It’s a wonderful team to be a part of, and I always look forward to assisting their cause.”
We are grateful to have Jan part of the Hospice Team!
