Volunteer With Us

Oceanside Hospice is powered by over 60 dedicated volunteers who are the heart and soul of our organization. Their commitment ensures that patients and families receive compassionate, quality end-of-life care.

New volunteers are always welcomed and there are many areas within our organization where you can make a meaningful difference.

Volunteers who wish to provide direct client support through Trillium Hospice, one-to-one companioning, or group facilitation must complete Oceanside Hospice’s comprehensive training program. The program includes six full days of education and learning, followed by supervised mentoring hours across a range of volunteer roles.

Anyone interested in volunteering must first complete an application form and attend a pre-screening interview. Candidates whose skills, interests, and availability align with our organizational needs will be asked to complete a background check.

If you’re interested, please complete the online application form.

Please note that due to some unanticipated staffing challenges, we have been delayed in reviewing volunteer applications. We will be assessing applications in July, and plan to conduct interviews in August for our October 2026 training.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!
